This article will explain how to create a load manually in the Carrier TMS

Updated over a week ago

On the Loads page in the Carrier TMS, you can quickly and easily create a load manually to assign to your driver. Follow these easy steps to get started:

1. Click the Create Load button in the top right-hand corner of the page

2. First, fill out the Load Details section:

You can either set the Internal Load ID yourself or set this number to increment automatically when you create a load in the Initial Load ID section of Settings (Click Here)

Inspection Type will allow you to choose from a few different Inspection types:

1. Standard: This inspection type has no required steps for drivers
2. Advanced: this inspection type requires a minimum of 6 photos per vehicle for pick up AND for delivery
3. AIAG: This inspection type is used for OEM customers and requires 2 photos per damage

Next, fill out the Pick-Up and Delivery Information for the order:

Clicking Save as New Contact will copy this customer to your Contacts section. Selecting Copy to Customer Information will paste this customer's information down to the Customer Information section below:

*Important Note* You must have a name and email filled out for the Customer section. if not, you will not be able to send invoices successfully!

Next Enter the VIN numbers for the vehicle:

If you have multiple VINs to decode, try the Bulk VIN decoder!

You can also add any attachments you need to the order, like dispatch sheets, gate passes, etc.

Once all of this information is entered successfully, click the SAVE button in the top right-hand corner of the page:

Once your new load is saved, you will see it on the loads page:

You can click the Load ID on the left to bring up the Edit screen. On the right side of the load card, click Assign to assign the load to a driver, Options to bring up a list of available actions for the load, and Edit to bring up the Edit screen.

Voila! You've created you're very own load all by yourself! If you have any questions, comments, or feedback about creating loads in the Carrier TMS, feel free to contact our Support team at [email protected].
