Introduction

Carrier Performance Metrics within Carrier TMS provide valuable insights into driver performance, helping dispatchers, shippers, and brokers monitor how well drivers complete inspections using the Driver App.

What Are Performance Metrics?

Carrier performance metrics are broken down into the following categories:

  • ETA Provided: The percentage of loads where the assigned driver shared the Pickup/Delivery ETA. This is calculated based on all delivered loads from the carrier.

  • Late Cancellation Rate: The percentage of accepted loads that the carrier canceled within 24 hours of the pickup time.

    • Cancellations made within 2 hours of booking are not counted.

    • Cancellations due to reasons like “Unit Not Ready” or “Unknown Inoperable Vehicle” are excluded from the calculation.

    • Providing accurate cancellation reasons is essential, as brokers and shippers can view and dispute this information if it is inaccurate.

  • Photos Taken On-Site Rate: The percentage of loads (with Advanced Inspection) where all required photos were taken at pickup and delivery. These photos must be geotagged within the geofenced area. This metric is based only on delivered loads with advanced inspection.

Performance Metrics Color Coding:

  • Green: Top Performer

  • Yellow: Average

  • Red: Needs Improvement

Metric Calculations

Performance metrics are calculated after enough data has been collected to ensure accuracy. Verified carriers who have accepted or delivered at least one load in the last 60 days will have their metrics calculated. These metrics are based on all loads accepted or delivered in that period.
