This article will explain how VIN scanning works in the Shipper TMS for loads without VINs

In your Shipper TMS account, you can now view scanned VINs from the drivers that have been added to a unit via the driver app. When a load is sent to a driver that does not have VINs listed per unit, the driver scans the VIN and adds it to a unit, which will then show up in your Shipper TMS account associated with the corresponding unit.

This VIN data will then populate into the Shipper TMS account:

After saving a load without a VIN, it will look like this:

Once the load has been dispatched to the carrier account and assigned to the driver, it will look like this in the driver's app:

Drivers can then use the Scan VIN feature to scan the VIN and select to add to the unit:

Once the driver has scanned the VIN and added it to the unit, it will display under the associated unit as shown below:

You can also review the change to the unit in Revisions History:

Updated information will also show in the order activity for the dispatcher's reference:
