Shipper TMS - Private Network & Private Loadboards
Updated over a week ago

Introduction

Hello and welcome to Super Dispatch! If this is your first time here, allow me to extend a warm welcome to our exceptional platform! In this article, we will delve into the Private Network feature within Shipper TMS. This powerful tool enables you to add approved carriers to your network, granting them access to your loads through the Private Loadboard. Follow along as we explore the functionality of the Private Network and guide you through setting it up for your Carriers.

Private Network

Many large Brokers and Shippers develop a network of trusted carriers they prefer to work with. Managing this network involves a lot of hands-on work, like making phone calls and sending out group emails. This can be particularly intense for urgent shipments that require immediate attention. Brokers and Shippers must also carefully monitor carriers so they do not overbook and fail to deliver loads on time, adding to the operational challenges. This is where the Private Network comes in to help out!

How to Set It Up

To begin, you will want to head to the Manage Carriers section of Shipper TMS.

From here, click on the Private Network section, then select Request Access to notify our team of your interest. You will receive a confirmation message via Intercom.

Note: You're all set! A team member will contact you as soon as everything is ready. Please keep in mind that contacting our Support team won't speed up the process, but rest assured, we're on it and will get back to you right away.

Creating a Private Network Group

Once a member of our team has set you up, you can set up your Private Network Groups under the Manage Carriers tab.

When ready, click on Create Group to get started. Afterward, you'll have the opportunity to name your group; we used "White Gloves" as an example, but feel free to choose any name you prefer.

Additional Options for Group Creation

Approved and Can Instantly Book Tabs

You can also add a group from the Approved or Can Instantly Book tabs.

Internal Records

Additionally, you can add or create groups from the Internal Records section in the Carrier Profile.

Renaming, Deleting & Max Limit

If you want to rename or delete a Private Network Group, you will want to click on either the Edit Icon next to the Group's name to rename it or the Trashcan Icon to delete it. Additionally, there is a limit to how many groups you can have. Currently, that limit is set to 10. Below, you can see how each of those scenarios will work👇

Delete

Once you click the Trashcan Icon, a confirmation message will appear asking if you want to delete it. Click Delete to proceed. If there are loads posted to this group, another message will inform you before finalizing the deletion.

Rename

To rename your group, click on the Edit Icon and enter a new name.

Max Limit

The Private Network allows a maximum of 10 groups.

Adding Carriers to Private Network

The following section will provide a comprehensive guide on the various methods available for adding carriers to groups within your private network. Whether you're looking to streamline your operations, enhance communication, or prioritize specific carriers for certain jobs, we'll cover the steps and strategies to help you organize your carrier interactions effectively. This guide is designed to make the process as straightforward as possible, ensuring you can efficiently manage your carrier relationships and maintain a well-structured network.

Bulk Adding Carriers From Approved & Can Instantly Book

If you want to add Carriers quickly from either of these sections, you can now quickly select their names and add them to either a Private Network or a specific Group!

Once added, a new tag will confirm their inclusion; if added to a group, the group name will appear on the tag instead.

Adding One Carrier to the Private Network

If you want to add just 1 Carrier to your Private Network or Private Network Group, the easiest way is to click on the Carrier's name and head to their profile. From there, click on the internal records pencil icon, click Private Network, and Select a Group name if you would like to add them to a Private Network Group.

Adding Non-Super Carriers to the Private Network

To add a non-Super carrier to your Private Network, click Add To Network, enter their information, and select Private Network or assign them to a specific Private Network Group.

Bulk Adding to Groups in Private Network

Under the Private Network tab, select the carrier names and then choose a group to add them to.

This makes the adding process of multiple Carriers much easier and faster.

Private Network Label on Requests & Send Offer

Additionally, in the Requests and Send Offer drawers, a Private Network Label will now indicate if a carrier has been added to your Private Network.

Removing Carriers from Private Networks or Groups

To remove a carrier from the Private Network or a Private Network Group, select them under Private Network and click Remove from Private Network.

You will receive pop-up messages explaining the consequences of removing a carrier, such as losing access to your Private Loadboard and any connected Groups.

If you are removing a carrier from a Group, you will see this message:

Private Loadboard

You can now post loads to the Private Loadboard, which is exclusive to your Private Network and Groups, ensuring that only they have access.

Below is a preview of how these loads will appear to Carriers once posted:

Next, we'll guide you through posting loads to your Private Loadboard and removing them:

Posting to Private Loadboard

Once you're ready to start posting, create an order as usual by selecting Create Load. After filling out all necessary information and preparing to post, you'll see a drop-down drawer where you can choose to post the load either directly to your Private Loadboard or to a specific Group.

Note: If posted to the Private Loadboard, all carriers added to your Private Network can see the loads. If you only want specific Carriers to see them, make sure you select a Group.

Once posted to the Private Loadboard or Group, those Carriers can see these Instantly.

Bulk Posting to Private Loadboard

If you want to bulk post to either Groups or your Private Loadboard, simply select multiple orders, click Post to SLB, and then choose your desired posting destination.

Unposting

If you need to remove a load, click the three dots on the load card. The process is similar to unposting a load from the SLB.

Thats it! You can start using Private Network, Private Network Groups, and the Private LoadBoard.
