Updated over a week ago

Introduction

Hello and welcome to Super Dispatch! If this is your first visit to our Help Center, allow me to extend a warm personal welcome. Today, we're excited to guide you through the process of conducting Video Inspections using the Driver App. This innovative feature enables drivers to complete their inspections through video, offering a dynamic alternative to the traditional photo-based method.

Video Inspections

Completing a Video Inspection within the Driver App is incredibly straightforward—just as easy as counting 1, 2, 3! Below, we'll guide you through all the essential details you need to know before getting started 👇

Setting Up the App

Once your team has requested access to this feature, it will be activated by default in your app. Please note that the maximum video length you can currently record is limited to one minute. Keep this in mind as you begin to conduct your video inspections.

Completing A Video Inspection

Once you are ready to begin you pickup inspection, you will begin like normal. Open the load inside of the app you are ready to complete the inspection for. Once you click on Start Pickup Inspection or Start Delivery Inspection you will see the option to switch the app from Camera Mode, to Video Mode, like so

Video Mode

Once you have successfully switch to Video Mode you will then see the option to start recording your video by pressing the Red Redcord Button

Note: We'd like to remind you again that you have only one minute to complete this video inspection. Once that minute is up, the recording will automatically stop.

During Recording

You will also notice several different options available while you are completing the inspection.

During the inspection, you'll have the opportunity to capture photos by clicking the white camera button. Additionally, the option to pause the video is available should you need to adjust the camera angle or move to a different area of the car. It's also worth noting that the photo icon within the wireframe will be disabled during recording to prevent any accidental clicks. Below is the screen you will see if/when you pause the video 👇

Completion

Once you have completed the video inspection you will see the options to either Play back the video, retake it, or delete it 👇

We would also like to note that any photos taken during the recording will be stored to the right where photos would be during a Camera Inspection.

If you choose to press 'Play,' here is the screen you will encounter:

Retake

If you choose to press 'Retake,' here is the screen you will encounter:

Delete

If you choose to press 'Delete,' here is the screen you will encounter:

Note: Please note, if you choose the 'Delete' or 'Retake' option, this action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Advaned Inspections

While the new Video Inspection feature is a great addition, it does not replace the six photos required by the Advanced Inspection protocol. These photos are still mandatory and must be taken before you can begin the Video Inspection. When you click on 'Start Pickup Inspection,' you will receive a message confirming this requirement.👇

Storage Almost Full

If your device is running low on storage and you wish to conduct a video inspection, unfortunately, it may not be feasible with our system since the video needs to be saved locally on your device. Should this issue arise, you will receive a warning both on the loading screen and during the inspection process. To resolve this, you will need to free up space by deleting apps, photos, or videos from your device before you can proceed with another video inspection.
