Introduction
If you’re using Shipper TMS, you may have noticed that posting to external load boards, isn’t instant. In fact, all outbound posts to other load boards are delayed by a minimum of 120 minutes. This FAQ explains why we have this delay and how it benefits you.
Why is the delay in place?
While the delay might initially seem inconvenient, it provides several advantages to Shipper TMS users:
-
Automation and Efficiency: Posting and dispatching through other load boards is often a manual process involving extra steps and calls. Super Dispatch simplifies this with a streamlined booking process. By posting loads to Super Dispatch first, you increase the chances of your loads being picked up directly on the Super Loadboard.
-
Trusted Carriers: With the delay in place, loads are more likely to be picked up by carriers verified and monitored by Super Dispatch’s Verified Carrier program. This badge shows that carriers meet our vetting standards, building confidence for shippers across North America. Learn more about what it takes to become a verified carrier here.
Can I change the length of the delay?
Yes! We recommend that shippers extend the delay as much as they feel comfortable. The longer a load remains exclusively on Super Dispatch, the greater the likelihood it will be picked up by a Super Dispatch carrier, streamlining your process even further.
Why loads appear on the Loadboard with an “Exclusive” tag?
The Exclusive tag informs carriers that the load is available only on Super Dispatch. This tag is active for the 120-minute delay period before loads are posted to other load boards, letting carriers know that certain loads are unique to Super Dispatch and encouraging them to secure the load before it’s shown to a broader audience.
If I edit a load’s details before 120 minutes have passed, will it be updated on other load boards?
Yes. Edits made within the initial 120 minutes will be reflected before the load is posted to other load boards. You can make changes to details like VIN, addresses, and contacts, knowing these updates will be included.
Will my load stay on other load boards if I send an offer to a carrier?
No. Once you send an offer to a carrier from Shipper TMS, the load is automatically removed from all external load boards, ensuring the offer is exclusive to your selected carrier.
