Introduction
The Vehicles tab allows you to manage OEM vehicles, filter VINs, bundle them into loads, assign loads to drivers, and track loads from assignment through delivery.
You can manage VINs across both the Vehicles and Loads tabs, with search functionality that spans both areas.
How to Build a Load
Step 1: Filter VINs
Go to the Vehicles tab and use filters to narrow your selection.
You can filter by:
- Origin city
- Destination city
- OEM
- Status
Important: VINs can only be bundled into a single load if they:
- Belong to the same OEM
- Have the same origin city
- Have the same destination city
Step 2: Select VINs
Select the VINs you want to include in the load.
Step 3: Build the Load
Click Build Loads. The system will create the load and display a confirmation message.
Once created, the VINs will move from the Vehicles tab to the Loads tab.
Assigning Loads to Drivers
Once a load is created, you can assign it to a driver either from the Vehicles tab immediately after building the load or later from the Loads tab.
Option 1: Assign from the Vehicles Tab (Immediately After Building)
- Select the VINs you want to move to Loads.
- Click Build Loads.
- Click Assign Driver.
- Select the driver from the Assign Driver drawer.
Option 2: Assign from the Loads Tab
- Open the load from the Loads tab.
- Select Assign Driver.
- Choose the appropriate driver and confirm.
After assignment, the load is tied to that driver until it is completed or unassigned (if eligible).
What Are ASN Loads?
ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) loads represent vehicles that have been assigned but not yet released.
These loads help you track vehicles that are scheduled but not yet active in the shipping process.

Delivered Loads
Delivered loads remain visible in the Loads tab for tracking and reporting purposes.
Use filters or reporting tools to review delivered load activity.

Modifying or Rebuilding Loads
Unassigning a Load (Before Pickup)
Loads can be unassigned and moved back to the Vehicles tab as long as the load has not been picked up.
To unassign:
- Open the load from the Loads tab.
- Select the unassign option.
- The VINs will return to the Vehicles tab.
Deleting a Load
If a load needs to be removed completely, you can delete it. This is typically done when loads need to be rebuilt.
- Locate the load in the Loads tab.
- Select delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
If the load has not been delivered, the VINs will return to the Vehicles tab.
Handling Canceled Loads
Canceled loads are not automatically removed from the system. This ensures historical tracking and reporting.
You can filter by status to locate canceled loads and delete them if needed.
Best Practices
| Best Practice | Why It Helps |
|---|---|
| Filter VINs carefully before bundling | Ensures loads meet OEM and routing requirements. |
| Assign drivers immediately when possible | Prevents delays in load movement. |
| Use unassign instead of delete when adjusting | Keeps workflow cleaner and reduces rebuild time. |
