Step 1: Open the FMCSA Company Snapshot
Start by visiting the FMCSA Company Snapshot page and locating your USDOT record.
Step 2: Locate the MCS-150 Form
After entering your USDOT number, scroll down on the Company Snapshot page and click the MCS-150 link.
Step 3: Select “Request USDOT PIN”
On the MCS-150 page, choose the option to request or recover your USDOT PIN.
Step 4: Complete the PIN Request Form
Fill out the FMCSA form by selecting whether you need a new PIN or are recovering an existing one. Make sure the contact information matches what FMCSA has on file.
Step 5: Enter the Access Code
FMCSA will send a one-time access code to the email address on file. Enter that code when prompted to continue the request.
Step 6: Receive Your USDOT PIN
Your USDOT PIN is typically delivered by email within a few minutes. If you choose mail delivery, it can take 7–10 business days.
