Introduction
With the launch of the FMCSA MOTUS registration system, USDOT PINs are no longer required. FMCSA has replaced PIN-based authentication with Login.gov, a secure federal identity verification platform. You will need a Login.gov account to access MOTUS and manage your USDOT registration.
This guide explains how to set up Login.gov and access the FMCSA MOTUS portal. Super Dispatch does not generate, store, or manage Login.gov accounts or FMCSA registrations.
How to Access FMCSA MOTUS
Follow the steps below to log into MOTUS using Login.gov.
Step 1: Open the FMCSA MOTUS Portal
Go to the FMCSA MOTUS portal to get started.
Step 2: Sign In with Login.gov
Click Sign in with Login.gov. If you already have a Login.gov account, enter your credentials and complete two-factor authentication. If you do not have a Login.gov account, follow the prompts to create one.
Step 3: Agree to Rules of Behavior
After signing in, read through the FMCSA Rules of Behavior and click the button at the bottom of the screen to agree and proceed.
Step 4: Verify Your Identity
Complete the identity verification step by capturing images of your government-issued ID and your face using your device's camera. Your profile information will prepopulate based on your ID.
Step 5: Link Your USDOT Number
Once your profile is complete, select the option to link your existing USDOT number to your MOTUS account. From there you can manage your registration, update company information, and make other changes.
