Introduction
The Multiple Unit BOL template allows you to consolidate multiple vehicles onto a single page for a cleaner and more streamlined Bill of Lading (BOL). Instead of generating a separate page for each vehicle, this feature helps simplify your documentation for orders with two or more vehicles.
What Is the Difference Between Single Unit and Multiple Unit BOLs?
-
Single Unit BOL: Each vehicle is displayed on its own page.
-
Multiple Unit BOL: Multiple vehicles are displayed on a single page, reducing the number of pages needed for multi-vehicle loads.
Step-by-Step Guide to Enable the Multiple Unit BOL Template
Below, we will walk you through how to enable the Multiple Unit BOL:
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
-
Log into your Carrier TMS account

-
Click on the Settings tab from the navigation menu.

Step 2: Enable the Template
-
Locate the checkbox labeled “Enable multiple unit BOL template for orders that contain more than one vehicle.”

Step 3: Save Changes
-
After checking the box, click Save to apply your changes.

Using the Multiple Unit BOL Template
Once enabled, the Multiple Unit BOL template will automatically apply to all orders containing two or more vehicles. This setting works seamlessly across both the web dashboard and the mobile app.
If you decide you want to switch back to the Single Unit BOL for these orders, simply return to Settings, uncheck the box, and save your changes.
