If you’re importing loads into Carrier TMS, using the correct CSV formatting is the difference between a clean import and a messy one. This article covers the required column rules, accepted formats, and allowed values so your file uploads without errors.

Guidelines for Importing Loads via CSV Template
Use the guidelines below to make sure your CSV matches what Carrier TMS expects. You can leave optional fields blank, but the structure and formats must be correct.
Importing Instructions
Follow these formatting rules before uploading your CSV.
Column Headers
Your CSV must keep the same column headers as the template.
- All column headers in the CSV template must be present.
- You may leave some cells blank if those fields are not needed.
- You can rearrange the order of columns if needed (as long as headers remain the same).
Date Format
All date fields must use one of the following formats:
- MM/DD/YY
- MM/DD/YYYY
Inoperable Vehicle
This field accepts:
- yes
- no
If left blank, the value defaults to no.
Requires Enclosed Trailer
This field accepts:
- yes
- no
If left blank, the value defaults to no.
Vehicle Type
In the Vehicle Type column, enter one of the values below exactly as written:
