Introduction
Super Dispatch uses an allocation system to track posted and delivered vehicles during each billing cycle to determine your final invoice. However, there may be confusion around what counts toward the posted and delivered vehicles included in your plan—especially when reposting, deleting, or editing vehicles. This article explains what a posted or delivered vehicle means, how VINs are tracked, and how to avoid common mistakes that could impact your limits.
How Posted and Delivered Vehicles are Counted in your Super Dispatch Plan:
Posted Vehicles are counted at the time of posting. Delivered Vehicles are counted when the order is marked as delivered. Posted "Vins" or Delivered "Vins" should be interpreted as "Vehicles."
Note: For your Super Dispatch plan, the vehicle row is being counted and not
specific details within the vin or vehicle details fields.
For example: Two vehicle rows on a single order with the same VIN or vehicle details
will count as two vehicles.
- Before an order is posted or delivered, you can modify, add, or delete vehicles on an order and this will not count towards plan limits.
- After an order is posted, adjustments to vehicle rows already added to the order are considered edits to the same vehicles and reposting the vehicle will not count again as an additional posted vehicle. This includes adjustments to the VIN, carrier price, and vehicle details.
- If a vehicle (or entire order) is deleted after being posted or delivered, it still counts toward that month’s limits.
- Delivered dates are based on when the vehicle was marked as delivered. Even if you go back and change the delivery date in the system, the billing cycle will still count it based on the original date it was marked as delivered.
Reposting a vehicle in the same order will not double count
-
Reposting an order will not double count vehicles already on the order if the repost is within a 30 day timeframe.
-
Things to know about reposting vehicles that were at one time deleted from the order (whether manually deleted or deleted through automation):
- If a vehicle with a valid VIN is deleted and then added back again to the same order this will not double count.
- If a vehicle's VIN is invalid or missing, but the vehicle's year/make/model is populated and stays the same, then the vehicle being deleted and added back again will not double count.
Note: Posting the same VIN or vehicle details within a different order will count
separately. Example: If Vehicle A is posted in Order 1 and then vehicle A is added
also to Order 2, it will be counted twice.
Let’s Walk Through an Example
- I created the order below and added 2 vehicles to that order. Before the order is posted or delivered, I can modify, add, or delete vehicles on an order and this will not count towards my plan limits.
- Next, I post my order to the Super Loadboard. These 2 vehicles have now counted towards my posted vehicle limits on my plan. Posted Vehicle Count Total = 2
- I decide to unpost my order because I need to make some modifications to the vehicles. After making these edits, I repost the order. This example will NOT incur additional posted vehicles.
- I need to delete one of the vehicles from the order (using the trash icon). Once a vehicle has been posted, if the vehicle (or entire order) is later deleted this will not change the posted vehicles counted toward my plan.
- I now need to add 2 new vehicles to my order. I add those two new vehicles and repost my order to the Super Loadboard. The vehicle that was already on my order does not get counted again, but the two new vehicles will now get added to my posted vehicle total. Posted Vehicle Count = 4
- I found a carrier for my order. The carrier picks up the 3 vehicles. Once the vehicles arrive to their destination and the carrier marks the order as delivered, these now count towards my delivered vehicle total. Delivered Vehicle Count = 3. If a vehicle is posted and later delivered, it will count toward both the Posted Vehicles and Delivered Vehicles limits.
Common Questions
Q: If a vehicle is delivered, can it also count as posted?
A: Yes, if a vehicle has been posted and later delivered, it will count toward both the Posted Vehicles and Delivered Vehicles limits.
Q: Why do my delivered vehicle totals look different in reports?
A: Delivered vehicle totals reported in other parts of the system may not exactly match the totals on your invoice. For your Super Dispatch plan: Deleted vehicles and orders are still included. Posted and delivered dates are based on US Central Time. The delivered date is based on when the vehicle was originally marked delivered, even if you later change it.
