Introduction
This article explains how drivers can create a load from scratch using the Driver App. This feature is only available to carriers with an active Carrier TMS Pro subscription. If you're subscribed, you can build and manage your own loads directly from the app without needing Carrier TMS access.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Create a Load from Scratch
Follow the steps below to manually create a load in the Driver App, including entering vehicle details, customer info, and payment terms.
Step 1: Tap the Plus (+) Button
From the Load List or Map View in the Driver App, tap the + icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Select "Add New Load"
Choose the option Add New Load to begin creating a new order from scratch.
Step 3: Change Vehicle Inspection Type to "Advanced"
Before entering any vehicle information, make sure to change the Inspection Type to Advanced for full inspection capabilities.
Step 4: Add Vehicle Details
- Tap Enter Vehicle Info to manually enter the vehicle year, make, model, and VIN.
- Or tap Scan VIN to scan the VIN barcode using your phone's camera. Super Dispatch will automatically populate the vehicle info.
Step 5: Enter Pickup and Delivery Information
- Add the Pickup Location including date, time, and contact details.
- Add the Delivery Location with the same level of detail.
Step 6: Add Shipper / Customer Information
Enter the shipper’s business name, contact person, phone number, and email (if available).
Step 7: Enter Payment Information
You can include the price, payment terms, and any notes about how the load will be paid (e.g. COD, QuickPay).
Step 8: Add Attachments and Expenses (Optional)
- Tap Add Expense to log any fuel, tolls, or additional charges related to the load.
- Use the Attachments section to upload dispatch sheets or supporting documents.
Step 9: Start the Pickup Inspection
Once everything is filled out, tap Start Pickup Inspection at the top of the load page to begin your inspection.
