Introduction
SuperPay in Shipper TMS has two workflows. The Automated flow charges your account and pays carriers for you. The Manual flow lets your team verify delivered loads and release each payment yourselves. This article explains both and how to use the Manual flow.
Automated SuperPay Flow
- Automatic charges: SuperPay charges your bank account after delivery, based on the order's payment terms.
- Automatic release: The payment is released to the carrier once Digital Delivery Verification succeeds.
- Automatic holds: Payments are put on hold automatically if a possible issue is found.
The Automated flow works well for small teams. One person can handle a high volume of payments and only step in for exceptions.
Manual SuperPay Flow
- You trigger the charge: Charges to your account and payments to the carrier only happen when your team starts them.
- Mark as Delivery Verified: Dispatchers mark orders as Delivery Verified to show they're ready to be paid.
- You release payments: Payments aren't released automatically, even after Digital Delivery Verification.
The Manual flow works well for larger teams that want a clear handoff between dispatch and accounting and full control over payments.
