Introduction
Once your shipper account is fully onboarded, SuperPay becomes available as a payment method inside Shipper TMS. SuperPay allows you to initiate ACH payments to carriers directly through Super Dispatch, helping streamline payment workflows while improving visibility and control.
SuperPay does not automatically release payments. Payments are always initiated by the shipper and follow the order lifecycle inside Shipper TMS.
Selecting SuperPay as a Payment Method
After completing SuperPay onboarding, you can select SuperPay when creating a new order.
How to Add SuperPay to an Order
- Select SuperPay as the payment method while creating a new order.
- Choose payment terms (1–3, 5, 10, 15, or 20 business days).
- Save the order. Once saved, the SuperPay icon will appear next to the Carrier Price.
Flow of Funds with SuperPay
SuperPay follows the lifecycle of an order and responds to delivery events submitted by the carrier through Super Dispatch.
1–3 Business Day Payment Terms
When using short payment terms, SuperPay is triggered immediately after delivery.
| Event | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Delivered | Carrier marks the order as Delivered. |
| SuperPay Charge Initiated | Shipper’s bank account is debited for the Carrier Price. |
| SuperPay Charged | Debit completes, typically within 1–2 business days. |
5, 10, 15, or 20 Business Day Payment Terms
For longer payment terms, SuperPay schedules the debit and deposit in advance.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Charge Scheduled | Date the shipper’s bank account will be debited. |
| Deposit Expected | Date the carrier is expected to receive funds. |
Payment to the Carrier
After delivery, one of the following outcomes occurs:
- Payment proceeds as scheduled based on selected terms.
- Payment is placed on hold if an issue is identified.
Arbitration Window
What Is the Arbitration Window?
The arbitration window is a two-business-day period after delivery during which a shipper can pause payment—even if the SuperPay process has already started.
Placing a Payment on Hold
- Payments can be paused during this window to resolve delivery or documentation issues.
- Once paused, payments must be manually resumed.
Manually Resuming a Payment
If a payment is placed on hold, it must be manually resumed from the order.
Steps to Resume Payment
- Open the order from the Orders List or Order Details.
- Click Resume Payment.
- Confirm the action to release payment to the carrier.
