Introduction
The Trips feature in Carrier TMS provides powerful tools for managing and organizing your trips effectively. With customizable trip statuses, detailed trip information, and advanced filtering options, dispatchers and carriers can streamline operations and maintain accurate records. This guide will walk you through the features and functionalities of the Trips page, helping you make the most of this tool.
Features of the Trips List
The Trips page in Carrier TMS is designed to provide comprehensive trip management with the following features:
Trip Status

Planning: The trip is not assigned to a driver.

Ready: The trip is assigned to a driver, but all loads are in a “new” status.

In Progress: At least one load is in “picked up” or “delivered” status, but not all loads are delivered or in “new” status.

All Delivered: All loads within the trip have been delivered.

Completed: A manual status that can be set or unset at any time.
Dispatcher

Displays the name of the dispatcher who created the trip.
Start/End

Displays the trip’s starting and ending points.
Price

Shows the total price of all loads within the trip.
Payment Status

Driver Paid: Indicates the driver has been paid.

Paid by Customer: Reflects payment received from the customer.

Billed: Marks the trip as billed.

Options Icon

Filtering Options
The Trips page allows you to filter and sort trips using various criteria:

Managing Trips

Updating Trip Status
Mark as Completed

To mark a trip as completed, click the Options icon and select “Set as Completed.”

To remove this status, follow the same steps and deselect “Completed.”
Update Payment Status

Use the Options icon to add or remove payment statuses, such as “Driver Paid” or “Paid by Customer.”

Filtering Trips

Select the desired filters from the top of the Trips page, such as Drivers, Dispatchers, Trip Status, or Payment Status.

Apply multiple filters simultaneously to refine your search.
Viewing Trip Details

Click on any trip in the list to open its details page.
