How-To Manage Trips in the Driver App

    Introduction

    The Super Dispatch Driver App helps drivers manage trips, track progress, and complete pickups and deliveries efficiently. Trips group multiple loads together so drivers can see their route, remaining stops, and total pay in one place.

    Where to Find Your Trips

    Trips are no longer accessed from a separate Trips tab. Instead, all trip information is available directly from the Load List and Map View.

    Step 1: From the Load List

    The Load List is the primary place to view and manage trips in the Driver App.

    • Open the Load List in the Driver App.
    • Trips appear grouped under an expandable trip title.
    • Tap the arrow next to the trip name to view the loads included in that trip.

    Step 2: From the Map View

    The Map View provides a visual way to access trips and review routes.

    • Tap the Map icon at the top of the screen.
    • View trip cards showing route details and progress.
    • Tap any trip card to open the Trip Details screen.

    Note: The Trips tab has been removed. Trips are now accessed only through the Load List or Map View.

    Viewing Trip Details

    Selecting a trip opens the Trip Details screen, which shows an overview of the entire trip and all included loads.

    Field What It Shows
    Trip Name The name assigned to the trip
    Route Map Visual route with pickup and delivery stops
    Loads All loads included in the trip
    Vehicles Total number of vehicles
    Total Weight Combined vehicle weight
    Driver Pay Total pay for the trip
    Note: You can also access the Trip Details screen by tapping Trip from an individual load’s map view.

    Managing Loads Within a Trip

    Each load inside a trip is managed individually. Completing inspections and updating load statuses keeps the trip progress accurate.

    Step 1: Open a Load

    • Select any load from the Trip Details screen.
    • View load details, contact the shipper, or start inspections.

    Step 2: Mark Loads Picked Up or Delivered

    • Complete the required pickup or delivery inspection.
    • Mark the load as Picked Up or Delivered.

    Tracking Trip Progress

    As loads are picked up and delivered, the trip updates to reflect completed and remaining stops.

    • Completed loads are marked accordingly.
    • Remaining loads stay visible in the Trip Details screen.
    • You can return to the trip at any time from the Load List or Map View.

    Trip Completion

    Completing all loads in the Driver App does not automatically complete the trip.

    Important: Trips must be manually marked as complete inside Carrier TMS. The Driver App does not automatically close trips once deliveries are finished.

    To complete a trip, a dispatcher or carrier admin must mark it as completed in Carrier TMS.
