Introduction
The new Mark Arrived feature in the Super Dispatch Driver App allows drivers to record when they arrive at a pickup or delivery location. This helps carriers protect their revenue by proving the driver was on time, and gives shippers more transparency into load progress.
Why Use the Mark Arrived Feature?
Drivers often wait at pickup or delivery locations due to vehicle or staff unavailability, yet may be incorrectly penalized for being “late.” This feature helps document arrival time and location to prevent those errors and reduce payment disputes.
- Carriers: Avoid unfair penalties and build trust with shippers.
- Drivers: Prove that they were on time—even if the load wasn’t ready.
- Shippers: Understand delays more accurately and track carrier reliability.
How to Mark Arrival in the Driver App
Here’s how drivers can use the “Mark Arrived” feature at both pickup and delivery locations:
Step 1: Open the Driver App
- Tap on the load you're currently working on.
Step 2: Tap “Mark Arrived”
- You’ll see this button on the load screen when near the pickup or delivery location.
Step 3: Confirm Your Location
- The app will use your location to confirm if you're within 1 mile of the address. Please ensure your location services are turned on. If your location is off or you’re outside of the allowed radius, you’ll see a warning—but you can still proceed.
Step 4: Turn On Location Services (If Needed)
- If your phone’s location services are off, you’ll be prompted to turn them on. You can still continue, but enabling them is recommended for accuracy.
Step 5: Arrival Logged
- Once marked, your arrival will be recorded with a timestamp, status (“Marked Arrived at Pickup” or “Marked Arrived at Delivery”), and location data. This information is stored in the load’s activity log in Carrier TMS & Shipper TMS.
Where Arrival Status is Shown
- Driver App: Arrival timestamp and location are visible in the load screen.
- Carrier TMS & Shipper TMS: Activity log shows the exact time and location the driver marked arrival.
Carrier Settings: Enabling the Feature
This feature is available to participating carriers and can be turned on in Carrier TMS:
Step 1: Open Carrier TMS.
- Login to Carrier TMS
Step 2: Go to Driver Settings.
- In the bottom left hand corner click on the profile icon, and select settings, then Driver Settings.
Step 3: Enable Toggle
- Enable the toggle for “Require drivers to mark arrival at pickup and delivery location.”
When enabled, the Mark Arrived button will be visible in the Driver App. If disabled, the option will not appear.
