How to Manage Notifications in Shipper TMS

    Introduction

    Shipper TMS lets you choose how you get notified about your orders: by email, text message (SMS), or push notification. You can set preferences for your own orders, for your company, and for other people on your team. This article shows how.

    Types of Notifications

    • Personal notifications: Alerts about orders assigned to you.
    • Company notifications: Alerts about all orders in your company's Shipper TMS account.
    • Additional recipients: Team members you add to get specific order updates by email.

    How to Manage Your Notification Settings

    Step 1: Open Notification Settings

    • In Shipper TMS, click your company name in the lower-left corner.

    Step 2: Update Your Personal Notifications

    These apply only to orders assigned to you. For each alert, choose Email, Push, or Text message where available. You can manage alerts for:

    • Load offers
    • Carrier requests and request cancellations
    • Bookings
    • Pickup and delivery status updates
    • Order changes
    • Order cancellations (only when the load wasn't auto-reposted)
    • Customer invoices and BOLs

    Note: If you're the dispatcher on an order, you can get text messages for new requests and for canceled orders that weren't auto-reposted. Text messages aren't sent for cancellations when the order was auto-reposted.

    Step 3: Review Company Notifications

    • To change the company contact email, click Profile Page.
    • Choose whether the company email gets updates on all orders by email.

    Step 4: Add Additional Recipients

    • In the Additional Recipients section, click + Add Recipient and enter their email address.
    • Choose the alerts they should get: Load Offers, Requests and Bookings, Pickup/Delivery and Modifications, or Billing.

    How to Turn Text Messages Back On

    If you stopped getting text messages, your number was probably opted out by replying STOP to an earlier message. You'll see a warning in your notification settings.

    1. Open your phone's messaging app.
    2. Text START to +1 (833) 963-2500.
    3. You'll get a confirmation text when it works.

    Important: You can't turn text messages back on from Settings. You have to text START from your phone. If several users share one phone number, one person's opt-out affects all of them, so give each user who needs texts their own number.

    Who Can Make Changes?

    Users with the right permissions can update their own email and phone number for notifications. If you don't have permission, ask your Shipper TMS admin.
