Introduction
In Carrier TMS, you can't edit the pickup or delivery address on loads you booked from the Super Loadboard. This keeps the shipper's load information accurate and helps protect against fraud and vehicle theft. This article explains which loads are locked and how to get an address changed.
Which Loads Are Locked
| Where the load came from | Can you edit the address in Carrier TMS? |
|---|---|
| Booked from the Super Loadboard | No. The shipper or broker must change it. |
| A direct load offer from a shipper or broker | Yes |
| A load you created yourself (manually, by import, or by email) | Yes |
Note: This applies to every carrier account. Super Dispatch Support can't turn it off or change the address for you, even with the shipper's permission.
How to Get the Address Changed on a Super Loadboard Load
Step 1: Contact the Shipper or Broker
- Open the load in Carrier TMS and click the shipper or broker's name to see their contact details.
- Let them know the correct pickup or delivery address. See How to Find Shipper or Broker Information in Carrier TMS.
Step 2: The Shipper Updates the Order
- The shipper or broker edits the address on their order in Shipper TMS.
- The new address shows on your load automatically. You don't need to do anything else.
Step 3: Confirm the Driver Has the New Address
- Check that the updated address appears on the load in Carrier TMS and in the driver's Driver App before pickup.
Tip: Need to pass along extra details, like a gate number or where the vehicle is parked? Ask the shipper to add it to the pickup or delivery notes, or add it to your own Driver Instructions. Keep details like this out of the address field.
For Direct Offers and Loads You Created
To change the address on a direct load offer or a load you created yourself:
- Open the load and click Edit.
- Start typing the new address and select it from the suggestions so it geocodes correctly.
- Click Save.
