How to Check a Carrier’s Verified Carrier Status
Follow these step-by-step instructions to check a carrier’s status in Shipper TMS:
Step 1: Log in to Your Shipper TMS Account
1. Log into your Shipper TMS account.
2. Navigate to the Manage Carriers section from the sidebar menu.
Step 2: Locate the Carrier
1. Browse the list of carriers displayed in the Manage Carriers section.

Note: Each carrier will display their associated statuses, such as Approved, Preferred, Certificate Holder, Insurance Expired, Blocklisted, or Internal.
2. If you’re looking for a specific carrier, enter their USDOT number or name in the search bar at the top and click on their name to open their profile.

Step 3: Review Carrier Profile and Verified Status
-
Inside the Carrier Profile, check the Verified Carrier Status section.
-
View their Company Assessment, which includes:
Authority:
-
A green checkmark means the carrier’s USDOT number is active and authorized to haul cargo according to the FMCSA database.
-
A yellow warning symbol means the carrier is NOT AUTHORIZED. It’s not recommended to dispatch loads to carriers without FMCSA authorization.
-
Additional documents such as USDOT Certificate, W9 Form, and valid Cargo Insurance.
-
Click the document links to view them directly in your browser.

Step 4: Use the Internal Records Feature
-
Mark carriers as Approved or Preferred to indicate their internal status.
-
Use the Certificate Holder feature to upload and store insurance records for your internal reference.

Once you’ve updated the carrier’s status, it will display at the top of their Carrier Profile for easy access.
