Introduction
Shipper TMS gives you full control over managing carrier compliance and visibility into their verification status. Whether you're using Super Dispatch’s Verified Carrier system or maintaining your own vetting process, this guide walks you through the available carrier statuses, how they affect booking and request permissions, and how to manage them inside your account.
Key Carrier Statuses
All carrier statuses can be edited directly within a carrier's profile by clicking the Pencil Icon next to the Internal Records section.
Verified Carrier
This label is applied by Super Dispatch when the carrier meets all of the following requirements:
- Active USDOT authority
- Valid W-9 form
- Active cargo insurance
Documents used to verify this status are available for review in the carrier’s profile. Verified Carriers are automatically eligible to receive load offers, request posted loads, and appear in search results across Super Dispatch.
Approved Carrier
This status is fully managed by your team and lets you label carriers that you've vetted, onboarded, or previously worked with. It helps create an internal compliance workflow to flag trusted carriers within your network.
Note: An Approved Carrier who is not Verified can still view and request loads that your company posts to the Super Loadboard. However, they will not be able to instantly book loads unless the “Can Instantly Book Carrier” permission is enabled.
Can Instantly Book Carrier
This checkbox enables the carrier to instantly book your posted loads on the Super Loadboard—no manual approval required. To learn more about enabling Instant Booking, refer to our Instant Booking guide.
Insurance Certificate Holder
Use this status to indicate that your company is listed as a certificate holder in the carrier’s insurance policy. You can also upload a certificate file and set an expiration date for tracking purposes.
- When the manually entered expiration date passes, the system will display an Expired Insurance label in the carrier’s profile.
- This label is for internal tracking only and does not automatically restrict the carrier’s ability to receive load offers or request loads.
- However, if the carrier’s uploaded insurance document is expired in Super Dispatch, it may still affect verification status or visibility on the Loadboard until the carrier updates their insurance file.
Blocklisted
This status completely restricts a carrier’s ability to interact with your company’s loads. Once blocklisted, the carrier:
- Cannot view your posted loads on the Super Loadboard
- Cannot request or book loads from your company
Use this option if you no longer wish to work with a particular carrier.
How to Update a Carrier’s Status
Step 1: Access the Carrier’s Profile

- Search for and open the profile of the carrier you want to update.
Step 2: Modify the Carrier’s Status

Managing Carrier Permissions for Dispatchers
If your company has an internal compliance team, you may want to limit who can update carrier statuses.
By removing the Update Carrier Profile permission from dispatcher roles, they will no longer be able to:
- Send load offers to carriers without Approved status
- Send offers to Blocklisted carriers
- Send offers to carriers with Expired Insurance (if marked internally)
- Add or remove statuses such as Approved, Can Instantly Book, Certificate Holder, or Blocklist
- Edit custom external IDs or internal attachments
Note: If you need to change user permissions, please contact Super Dispatch Support.
