Introduction
Super Dispatch offers a comprehensive breakdown of a carrier’s performance metrics, calculated based on activity from the carrier’s account. These metrics help shippers better evaluate and choose the right carrier for their loads. This article explains how to find a carrier’s performance metrics and how each metric is calculated.
If you’d like to share feedback about carrier performance metrics, please submit this form to our product team. We appreciate your input!
How to Find Carrier Performance Metrics
- Log in to the Shipper TMS website.
- Click on the Manage Carriers page from the left-hand menu.
- Use the search bar to locate the carrier profile you want to review.
- Click the carrier’s name to view their performance metrics.
How Are Carrier Metrics Calculated?
- Minimum Load Requirement Removed: Verified carriers that have accepted or delivered at least one load in the last 60 days will have performance metrics calculated.
- No Maximum Load Limit: Metrics now reflect all loads accepted or delivered within the last 60 days, instead of being capped at 20 loads.
The specific number of loads used to calculate each metric may differ based on the metric:
- Late Cancellation: Based on all accepted loads.
- ETA Provided: Based on all delivered loads.
- Photos On-Site Rate: Based on delivered loads with Advanced Inspection.
How Are Carrier Metrics Measured?
Late Cancellation
This metric shows how often a carrier cancels orders within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time. Cancellations made within 2 hours of booking are excluded. Cancellations marked as “Unit Not Ready” or “Unknown Inoperable Vehicle” are also excluded.
Shared ETA
This shows the percentage of loads where the carrier shared an ETA for both pickup and delivery. It helps increase transparency between carriers and shippers. Carriers can update their ETA at any time if unexpected issues arise, such as weather or vehicle breakdowns.
Photos On-Site Rate
This percentage reflects how often a carrier takes all required photos on-site for loads with Advanced Inspection.
A photo is considered on-site if it meets one of the following:
- It is geotagged within the required geofenced area, or
- It was taken within 5 minutes of another photo from the same location that is correctly geotagged.
If either the pickup or delivery location fails to meet this requirement, the load is marked non-compliant, reducing the overall Photos On-Site Rate.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Unverified carriers will not have performance metrics shown.
- The metrics are updated regularly to reflect a rolling 60-day window of activity.
- Metrics help shippers quickly evaluate reliability, timeliness, and professionalism.
