Introduction
SuperProtect helps shippers make safer carrier decisions by surfacing trust and risk context directly inside Shipper TMS. Instead of relying on guesswork alone, shippers can review platform-driven signals that may indicate elevated risk before sending an offer, accepting a request, or assigning an order.
This article explains what SuperProtect is, what types of signals it evaluates, where you'll see it in Shipper TMS, and how to use these insights as part of your normal dispatch workflow.
What Is SuperProtect?
SuperProtect is Super Dispatch's built-in protection layer that highlights potential risk patterns based on carrier account activity, FMCSA data, platform behavior, and historical context. These signals provide additional visibility when evaluating carriers and are designed to help reduce exposure to fraud, operational disruption, and avoidable disputes.
SuperProtect works alongside your existing workflows by adding context at key decision points, without blocking actions or changing how you dispatch and is a paid add-on to current Shipper TMS plans.
SuperProtect Statuses
Every carrier check returns one of three statuses. All checks — passed, review recommended, and failed — are shown together in a single view with counters so you can assess the full picture at a glance.
- Passed — the carrier cleared this check with no concerns identified.
- Review Recommended — the check surfaced activity worth a closer look before proceeding.
- Failed — the check identified a signal that may indicate significant risk.
What SuperProtect Looks At
SuperProtect evaluates signals from two sources: FMCSA public data and Super Dispatch internal platform data.
Checks Powered by FMCSA Data
Recent FMCSA Updates
Flags carriers that have updated key business or contact details with FMCSA in the last 90 days. Depending on the type of change, the check may return as Review Recommended or Failed.
Matched FMCSA Contact Details
Highlights when a carrier shares business details — such as contact information or addresses — with other carriers on the platform. This can help identify potential risks related to carrier impersonation or brokering fraud. When triggered, you can navigate directly to the related carrier profiles for comparison.
Low Inspection History
Indicates when a carrier's inspection activity is lower than expected based on their time in operation. Carriers with limited inspection history relative to their FMCSA registration age may warrant additional scrutiny.
FMCSA Compliance Issues
Surfaces compliance concerns that may indicate operational or regulatory risk, such as out-of-service orders or safety violations.
Checks Powered by Super Dispatch Data
Account Activity Signals
- Recent changes to carrier contact information, such as phone number or email updates.
- Multiple sensitive account updates within a short period of time.
Accepted Loads Feasibility
Flags carriers that are accepting loads that don't align with their driver capacity, routes, or schedules — a pattern that can indicate brokering or fraudulent booking behavior.
Out-of-Pattern Route Activity
Flags carriers operating significantly outside their typical lanes or geographic activity, which may indicate account compromise or unusual behavior.
Loadboard Activity Signals
- Carrier accounts with no drivers attempting to request or accept loads.
- High number of load requests compared to available driver capacity.
- Unusual activity involving high-value vehicles.
Where You'll See SuperProtect in Shipper TMS
SuperProtect is built directly into existing shipper workflows so risk context is visible when decisions are being made. You may see SuperProtect signals when:
- Reviewing inbound load requests.
- Sending or managing direct offers.
- Viewing a carrier profile.
When a signal appears, it includes a status (Passed, Review Recommended, or Failed) and a short explanation describing what triggered it.
Network Monitoring & Alerts
Automatic Network Monitoring
When a load is dispatched to a carrier, that carrier is automatically added to your monitored network. You can also manually add carriers to your monitored network at any time via their profile under Internal Records. Carriers can be removed from monitoring at any time.
Post-Dispatch Alerts
If a carrier is flagged by SuperProtect after a load has already been dispatched to them, you will receive an email notification so you can take action before pickup or delivery.
Notification Controls
You can manage which SuperProtect alerts you receive from the Settings page in Shipper TMS, so you stay informed without being overwhelmed.
How to Use SuperProtect
Step 1 — Review the Signal Context
Read the message shown with the signal and identify what type of activity triggered it — FMCSA data, account activity, or loadboard behavior.
Step 2 — Manually Verify the Carrier
SuperProtect signals should always be paired with your own verification steps. Before proceeding with a flagged carrier, we recommend:
- Calling the carrier's FMCSA-listed phone number directly to confirm their identity.
- Verifying the assigned truck and driver match what the carrier provided.
- Confirming the carrier's insurance is active and up to date.
- Contacting the pickup location to verify the carrier is expected and authorized.
Step 3 — Continue Using Your Normal Controls
SuperProtect does not replace your existing operational controls. Continue using your standard processes for reviewing carriers, communicating expectations, and confirming pickup and delivery details.
Do Not Share SuperProtect Alerts with Carriers
SuperProtect alert details — including what triggered a flag or what status a carrier received — should not be shared with carriers. Disclosing this information could tip off bad actors about what behavior is being monitored and help them avoid detection in the future.
If you need to address a concern with a carrier, do so through your normal communication channels without referencing the specific signals or checks that triggered the alert.
What SuperProtect Does Not Do
- It does not block carriers from being selected.
- It does not prevent you from sending offers.
- It does not automatically cancel, modify, or reassign orders.
- It does not guarantee detection of all fraudulent or compromised accounts.
