Introduction
In Shipper TMS, you set a payment method and payment terms on every order so carriers know how and when they'll be paid. This article explains the difference, lists the available options, and shows how to set them on an order.
Payment Methods vs. Payment Terms
- Payment method: How the carrier gets paid, such as SuperPay, ACH, or check.
- Payment terms: When the carrier gets paid, such as on delivery or within 15 business days.
| Payment Methods | Payment Terms |
|---|---|
| SuperPay, Cash, Check, Cashier's Check, Money Order, Comchek, ACH, Direct Deposit, Credit Card, Venmo, Cash App, uShip, Zelle, Other | Cash on Pickup, Cash on Delivery, Check on Pickup, Check on Delivery, Quick Pay, and 2, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, or 60 business days |
Note: The terms you can choose depend on the payment method. For example, Check offers
Check on Pickup, Check on Delivery, and business-day terms.
