What Is Pricing Insights Pro?

Pricing Insights Pro gives shippers direct access to marketplace pricing data, empowering them to make smarter, more competitive pricing decisions when dispatching loads. This feature is available as a paid add-on inside Shipper TMS.

What Pricing Insights Tell You

Pricing Insights Pro helps you understand what’s really happening in the market. It shows recent shipments like yours, what most people actually paid, how prices have been changing, and how busy that route is. In short — it helps you know what’s fair, what’s trending, and how confident you can be in the price.

Understanding the Pricing Insights

Recent Moves

• Shows up to 15 recently delivered loads that match your lane and vehicle type.
• Includes route, vehicle details, and booked price for each move.
• Gives you real-world data to compare against your current load

Price Range

• Displays the lowest and highest prices paid on a matching lane, excluding extreme outliers.
• Helps you see the “typical” range most shippers are paying today.

Example: A prediction of $1,500 may show a range of $1,300–$1,700.

Lane Volume

• Shows how many similar loads have been delivered on this route over the last 90 days.
• High volume = stable pricing signal, more confidence.
• Low volume = limited data, possible pricing volatility.

Price Trend

• Shows historical pricing changes across six two-week periods (90 days total).
• Displays volume of delivered loads and their high–low price range in each window.
• Helps identify seasonal patterns or short-term spikes and dips.

Confidence Score

• Indicates how much relevant data we have for your load.
• The more matching loads (same route, vehicle, timeframe), the higher the score.

Think of it like signal bars on your phone:

• More bars = more data = more accurate pricing insight.
• Fewer bars = limited data = double-check against the other pricing panels.

What Are Insights?

Each time you open the Pricing Insights drawer in Shipper TMS, it counts as one “Insight” — depending on what you’re viewing.

How Insights Are Counted

Usage is tracked each time a user views Pricing Insights for a unique combination of:

• Pickup location (ZIP, city, or state)
• Delivery location (ZIP, city, or state)
• Vehicle details (year, make, model, and type)
• Trailer type (open or enclosed)

⚠️ Note: Driveaway is not supported and does not count toward usage.

Each unique combination counts as one Insight. If any of these details change, it will count as a new Insight. If the same combination is viewed again within the same billing cycle (month), it will not be counted again.

When Is Usage Not Counted?

Usage is not counted if:

• The same lane, vehicle, and trailer combination is viewed again within the same billing cycle (month)
• There is no pricing data available for the request

What Does “No Pricing Data” Mean?

A request will not count as usage if Insights cannot be generated due to missing data. This includes situations where there are:

• No recent moves
• No price range
• No price trends

Monthly Usage Limits

Your plan includes a monthly limit of Insights based on your subscription tier. Each non-paying shipper account receives 3 free Insights per month, and this limit applies at the account level, not per user.

Tracking Your Usage

To help you manage your Insights, Shipper TMS provides built-in tools to track your usage in real-time:

• Usage Counter: Shows how many Insights you've used this month.
• Progress Bar: Visually tracks how close you are to your limit.

Usage Warnings

• At 80%: You'll see a banner reminder with an upgrade option.
• At 100%: A warning banner appears letting you know you've hit your monthly limit.

Managing Your Subscription

You can manage your Pricing Insights Pro subscription directly inside Shipper TMS. Changes are handled as follows:
