Introduction
Super Dispatch now allows carriers to send a counter bid on Counter Offers from shippers. This feature provides more flexibility in negotiating rates, ensuring that both carriers and shippers can reach a fair agreement efficiently.
How It Works for Carriers
Carriers can only send a counter bid if the shipper has sent a Counter Offer in response to their original bid. Follow these steps to submit a counter bid:
Step 1: Locate the Load Offer with a Counter Offer
- Navigate to the Load Board and go to the Requested Tab to find loads where a shipper has sent a Counter Offer.
- Open the load offer to view the details.
Step 2: Click the “Counter Bid” Button
- If the load has an active Counter Offer, you will see a Counter Bid button on the offer page.
- Click the button to open a new tab with the load details.
Step 4: Submit Your Counter Bid
- Enter your new counter bid amount based on the shipper’s Counter Offer.
- Confirm your submission.
Step 5: Track Your Bid Status
- Once submitted, the original offer will be declined, and your counter bid will appear under the Requested Tab on the Load Board.
- If the shipper accepts, a new load offer will be sent to you to accept.
- If the shipper declines, you may be able to submit another bid depending on their response.
What Happens on the Shipper’s Side?
- The shipper will receive the counter bid with a new status tag indicating it is a counter bid.
- The shipper can view their previous Counter Offer alongside the carrier’s counter bid before deciding to accept or decline.
Important Notes
- This feature is currently only available on Carrier TMS and is not yet supported in the Driver App.
- Carriers can only counter a shipper’s Counter Offer—they cannot counter their own previous bid.
- If the shipper declines the counter bid, the load will remain available for other carriers to bid on.
