Adding A Vehicle by Scanning a VIN

    Introduction

    The Scan VIN feature in the Driver App lets you add a vehicle to a load by scanning its VIN barcode. The app decodes the VIN and fills in the vehicle's year, make, and model for you.

    Note: The Driver App needs permission to use your phone's camera to scan a VIN.

    How to Add a Vehicle by Scanning a VIN

    Step 1: Open the Load

    • Open the load and find the Vehicle section, above Pickup Information.

    Step 2: Tap Scan VIN

    • Tap Scan VIN. Your phone's camera opens.

    Step 3: Scan the VIN Barcode

    • Line up the VIN barcode inside the highlighted area on your screen.
    • Check that the VIN shown matches the vehicle. Edit it if needed, then tap Done, or tap Rescan to try again.

    The app decodes the VIN and fills in the vehicle's Year, Make, and Model.

    Step 4: Review and Save

    • Check the vehicle details and make any changes.
    • Tap Save in the upper-right corner to add the vehicle to the load.
