Introduction
Carriers using Super Dispatch Carrier TMS and the Driver App now have the ability to cancel loads assigned to them by shippers or brokers on the platform. If you need to cancel a load, follow the steps below based on whether you are using Carrier TMS on desktop or the Driver App.
Canceling a Load in Carrier TMS (Desktop)
Below we will walk you through Canceling a Load in Carrier TMS (Desktop):
Step 1: Open the Load Options
- Navigate to the New or Assigned tab in Carrier TMS.
- Locate the load you want to cancel.
- Click on the Options menu for that load.
Note: The cancel option is only available for New or Assigned loads.
Step 2: Select Cancel Load
- Scroll to the bottom of the options list and click Cancel Load.
Step 3: Confirm Cancellation
Depending on the status of the load, you may see a pop-up notification:
- If the load is part of a split shipment and none of the split loads have been picked up, delivered, billed, paid, or archived, a pop-up will appear warning that all split loads will also be canceled. Clickable links will redirect you to view the split loads.
- If one or more split loads have been picked up, delivered, billed, paid, or archived, the pop-up will list those loads, but they will not be canceled.
Step 4: Choose a Cancellation Reason
- Select the reason for canceling from the provided options.
- Click Yes, Cancel to confirm.
Step 5: Load Cancellation Confirmation
- The Canceled label will now appear next to the canceled load and any split loads that were also canceled.
- The Cancel Load option will disappear from the Options menu. Instead, you will now see the Archive and Delete options.
- A record of the cancellation will be added to the Activity Log, noting that the load was canceled and by whom.
