Introduction
Drivers can import PDF dispatch sheets from other loadboards and major brokers directly into the Driver App, instead of entering orders by hand. This is useful when a driver receives a dispatch sheet on the road and needs to create a load quickly. Dispatchers can also import loads in Carrier TMS.
Note: Importing dispatch sheets and creating loads in the Driver App requires a Carrier TMS Pro subscription.
Important: On iPhone or iPad, open dispatch sheets in Safari. Importing may not work correctly in Chrome or other browsers. Once the PDF is open, the steps are the same for all broker dispatch sheets.
How to Import a Dispatch Sheet in the Driver App
Step 1: Start the Import
- Open the Driver App on your mobile device.
- Tap the + (plus) button in the bottom-right corner of the Loads screen.
- Select Import PDF Dispatch Sheet.
Step 2: Locate the Dispatch Sheet
- Your device opens the Files app (iOS) or Google Drive (Android).
- Navigate to the folder where the dispatch sheet PDF is saved.
- Select the dispatch sheet.
Step 3: Confirm the Import
- The Driver App processes the dispatch sheet and shows an import prompt.
- Review the prompt, then tap Import to confirm.
Step 4: Find the Imported Load
- Go to the Loads screen and open the New tab.
- Find the newly imported load in the list.
- Start the Vehicle Inspection when you're ready for pickup.
Note: Only supported dispatch sheet formats can be imported in the Driver App. If a file fails to import, check the dispatch sheet's source and format before trying again.
Next Steps
Dispatch sheet won't import? You can still add the load yourself by creating it manually in the Driver App.
